Income Scale

I hear that some people are very blase about sharing how much they make with friends and acquaintances, but, if you’re like me, it is a topic I avoid.  At best, you might impress someone, and at worst you’ll embarrass someone, or yourself.

Which is why I find the MoneySense All Canadian Wealth Test so fascinating to read.  It is a bit exhaustive, in a good way, so I encourage you to read it.  I’ve shared the baseline income measurements on a Canada wide scope as a starting point:

Canadian Household Incomes by Tier

Poorest 20% Lower-Middle 20% Middle 20% Upper-Middle 20% Richest 20%
Canada $17,267 $41,707 $66,397 $100,260 $226,792
